2026 SDAIP Sunset Social

Friends, family, colleagues, and members gathered around a blazing fire at our 2026 Sunset Social, where we celebrated the close of another successful term for SDAIP. It was a wonderful opportunity to thank our outgoing officers and our president, Cindy Lou Smith, for their dedication, leader

ship, and unwavering commitment to our association. We enjoyed an evening filled with pizza, S’Mores, and plenty of delicious treats. Nature gifted us a magnificent sunset, and SeaWorld added to the magic with their spectacular Drone Show Extravaganza.

Thank you to all the members who contributed snacks, beverages, and festive 4th of July decorations that made the evening extra special. A heartfelt thank you to Liberty Mutual Insurance and Nancy Trejo for generously providing the pizza.

We look forward to seeing everyone at our events throughout the upcoming term as we support our incoming president, Terri Carver, and the SDAIP Board of Directors.

2026 Installation of Officers

The 2026 Installation of Officers and Awards Banquet was held on May 19th. This year we celebrated our 90th bir thday. Outgoing president, Cindy Lou Smith was presented with a memory book packed with inspirational letters and photos from members. Terri Carver was installed as our incoming president. It was such a fun event.

2026 I-DAY

The 2026 IIAB San Diego I‑Day was a tremendous success, with the theme “Stars, Stripes & Success” shining brightly throughout the venue. The day kicked off with a morning CE class, followed by a bustling, sold‑out exhibit hall where attendees connected with industry partners and explored new products and services.

During the luncheon, attendees enjoyed an inspiring presentation from Matt Scott, a five‑time Paralympian in wheelchair basketball and three‑time medalist, most recently at the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games. His message of resilience and excellence resonated deeply with the audience.

A highlight of the afternoon was the presentation of the 2026 Insurance Woman of the Year, awarded by SDAIP President Cindy Lou Smith. The recognition added a celebratory note to an already memorable event.

Our California Council Director, Jody Nishida joined us to help at our vendor booth.

It was truly a great day to be an Insurance Professional—full of learning, connection, and pride in our industry.

2026 Membership Drive

The February 24, 2026 Membership Drive & Trivia Night was well attended and it was a lot of fun. Thank you to the committee members for all their hard work in making this a successful event. A special thank you to our CA Council Director, Jody Nishida for joining us.

2026 San Diego Seals Game

January 2026-San Diego Seals Lacrosse Game. What a great night it was, the arena was electric, going into the fan tunnel was engaging, and then, they had a 13 to 7 victory over the Philadelphia Wings!
